Movie Review "Casino Royale"

I saw this movie a week and a half ago and I have a lot of ground to cover today so this will be brief. This movie is awesome. Daniel Craig is perfect as 007 and is the best James Bond since Sean Connery. He brings a hard edge to the character that I thought should always be there. He is every bit as ruthless killing people as he is sauve with the ladies. When asked if he wants his martini shaken or stirred he simply says "Do I look as though I give a damn". One of my biggest beefs about the last four or five Bond flicks is that they were too stunt driven, too much CGI effects, too many gadgets. It was never what Bond was intended to be and the co-writers have smartly gone back to basics. This movie is all about spies doing spy stuff, agents double crossing each other, basic torture with a whip (the main villain, Le Chiffre, is played brilliantly by Mads Mikkelsen), and hot Bond girls such as Eva Green. There is also no bad pun every time Bond kills someone and the sexual banter between Craig and Green is fantastic. It runs a bit too long in the third act but it's a small quibble.

Trouble In The Desert.

Sorry for the break in the action but I was in Toronto for a very long week on business and was too bagged each night to write. Onwards...

It's time to admit that Wayne Gretzky, the greatest player in NHL history and the sports biggest champion, is a complete failure as an executive. The Coyotes are a disaster and he is the one who has final say on all personnel moves. They have been bad for a long time and won't get better until he gives control of hockey operations to someone who knows how to build a team.

Gretzky's greatest personal strength was always his loyalty but that's what's killing him as a coach. He signs guys who can't play anymore (I'm on record as saying Jeremey Roenick is the biggest asshole in the NHL and even I can't stand to watch him stumble his way to a 20 point season))surrounds himself with personal friends and seems to think everything will work it. This extends beyond the Coyotes too as he has proven with his inability to build Team Canada. Last year he stubbornly refused to put young studs like Crosby or Staal on the team in favour of guys like Bertuzzi. Wayne, do everyone a favour and become an owner who only promotes the team, not runs it.

RIP Milton Friedman

Free market capitalists lost a great friend and their greatest champion yesterday in Milton Friedman. After hearing of his passing I thought of him last night as I was watching my new 37 inch flat screen high definition TV that I bought not because I needed it, but simply because it was available and I wanted it. Thank you Milton.

O.J. Heads To USC.

No not that O.J. He already went to USC. It's November which means college hoops has started (nice loss to Oral Roberts last night Kansas). And the biggest recruit in the country has signed a letter of intent with USC. Not that he'll ever see the inside of a lecture hall or anything. He'll be there for a year, hang with Snoop, bang Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, score 20 a game and be the first overall pick in the '08 draft. I think ex-Bulls coach will finally take advantage of the obvious appeal of the LA setting and gain an upper hand over cross town rival UCLA.

Speaking of Snoop, Edmonton may never be the same after January 17th.

Way too much is being made of Bob Knight slapping his players chin the other night to get his attention. He's done a hell of a lot worse things over the years.

If more X Games women look like Sarah Burke it may be worth tuning in to.

J.P. Has His Wallet Out Again

It looks as though the Blue Jays are on the verge of signing DH Frank Thomas. I think it's a good but curious move. The offense was not really the problem for the Jays this year, pitching was. I think signing Thomas to big money was either a way to show Vernon Wells that they are willing to spend to protect him in the lineup in the attempt to sign him long term, or a signal that they are going to trade Vernon this winter. I think it's the latter. With Glaus, Overbay, Thomas, and a healthy Alex Rios likely turning into a 25 home run guy, they will try to deal Wells for a reliable 2 or 3 starter and a good middle reliever.

I think Ricciardi still has money to spend (which he has to do to stay competitive in this division as the Red Sox proved by paying $52 million just to negotiate a contract with Daisuke Matsuzaka)and I would like to see him go after a front of the rotation guy like Mark Mulder. He's coming off surgery but he's only 29, eats up innings and has pitched in plenty of big games. A rotation of him, Halladay, Burnett, and Chacin would be one of the best in the league. Or they can sign a middle rotation guy like Gil Meche who is good for 12 or 13 wins and 200 innings.

But whatever J.P. does, the thought of The Big Hurt playing 9 games a year with The Green Monster in his sights is pretty fun to think about.

Wednesday Musings.

I'm glad to see the feds kicking in to help with transit security, but you have to keep on eye on how this money is being spent. For example certain areas in Toronto are far more likely tragets than others. Union station at rush hour with the Go Trains, subway, and Via going full tilt deserves full attention while Kipling station at 10:00pm Tuesday night does not. I'd also like to see at least a hint of security for getting on the subway. Right now you can just fly through the turnstile and get on the train with pretty much anything you want.

Now that a US soldier has plead guilty to raping and killing an Iraqi girl and her family, I put the over/under on a prominent Democrat placing the blame not on the soldier, but on Bush or Rumsfeld, at about 12 minutes. Please understand that I am in no way trying to make light of this situation. My point is that this type of behavior has been going on for decades regardless of who is in office.

I'm interested to see how well Sun Media's new free daily 24 Hours does. I think it actually made sense for Sun to do this. There readership was eroding to free competitors such as Metro anyway so they might as well try to retain some of that readership. I just wonder how it will affect the quality(?) of the Sun (which admittedly I only read Saturday or Sunday morning while eating my breakfast at Local Heroes).

The Juice: "If I Did It"

You may have heard that lowlife O. J. Simpson is going on Fox Nov 27 and 29 to discuss the murders of his wife and friend and how he would have committed the murders. You know, if he had killed them. This whole concept is ridiculous. If he were really upset about losses of loved ones would he really go on TV and talk about how he would have killed them? If he has a plan for how he would have killed them it means he put enough thought into it to have contemplated it before. This to me is a basic admission of guilt. It's sad to see Fox reverting back to this kind of attention grabbing nonsense. They had come a long way the last few years.

Borat Gets A Beating.

Apparently Borat got a whoopin' in NYC. I'm actually not the least bit shocked by this event. What is shocking is that this is only the first time it has happened. Given his antics, which I love, you would have to think this would happen once a week.

The Rockettes are coming to Canada. This reminds me of a funny line Tony Kornheiser had on Pardon The Interruption a couple of years back. He was discussing one of those erectile dysfunction commercials and said "If I have an erection for 4 hours I'm not calling a Doctor, I'm calling the Rockettes."

What qualifies a woman as a MILF as opposed to a Yummy Mummy? Thsi is the type of thing Ms. Skeelo and I argue about at home which, I think, is the sign of a healthy marriage. I say the difference is in the age of the Mom where as she thinks it's the age of the child. For example I say a 35 year old woman with a new born is a MILF and a 27 year old with a 10 year old is a yummy mummy. Using that example she says it's the other way around. What started this conversation is Nelly Furtado who no matter how you put it is a complete MILF/Yummy Mummy. Any clarification from the audience would be appreciated.

I May Have Had Mild Salmonella.

Not a typical title to a blog entry I realize, but with the news that the Hershey factory in Smith Falls closed down for a brief period due to a salmonella scarehas me a tad freaked. Ms. Skeelo and I buy our Halloween candfy there each year and this year we didn't get as many kids as usual. This meant that we scarfed down the remaining candy. The next day we were both sick as hell and had to leave work early. They say it didn't make it into the Halloween candy but I'm thinking that may have been just to not set off panic.

In my opinion the drop in oil prices is a case of the market correcting itself. There is far more supply than demand right now and oil won't reach $100/barrel. This could be bad news for Canadian investors as a lot of Canadian mutal funds are heavily weigthed with energy stocks.

Monday Musings.

I was never a big Guns N' Roses fan. I thought they were a decent band, no more, no less. But full marks to them for cancelling a show in Maine because they couldn't get pissed on stage. Now if they had just been honest and called this the "We Need The Money Tour" I would be happy to buy two tickets and give them to a pair of homeless guys.

I think the Colts are going to run the table this year, at least in the regular season. They learned last year that letting up to rest for the playoffs is a bad idea. The game they are most likely to stumble in is week 14 at Jacksonville. The Jags always play the Colts tough. I still think the Ravens will beat them in the playoffs though.

And I think the Ravens will be playing the Bears in the Super Bowl. Watching them tear through the Giants in the second half last night and all but locking up home field advantage showed me how good they really are. They won't get beat in Chicago in the playoffs. Watching last night's game also made me realize that Eli Manning is completely overrated. If his last name was Jones or Smith he would have been a 5th round pick, not 1st overall.

Everything you need to know about the Bengals was on display on the sidelines with about 4 minutes to go in their loss yesterday. After blowing a 28-7 halftime lead and trailing by a touchdown with the Chargers pounding the ball and running out the clock, the cameras caught "star" wideouts T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson laughing on the sidelines. I'm surprised nobody grabbed these two by the throat and choked the shit out of them. But Johnson caught 11 balls for 260 yards and 2 TD's so in his eyes the day was a success despite losing. That's why the Benglas are such a bust this year.

If Gary Sheffield had been traded anywhere but Detroit I'd say it would turn into a disaster. But Shef loves Jim Leyland and Leyland won't put up with him being a pain in the ass. Leyland reminds me of Whitey Herzog in that he can call his players every name in the book and they still love him.

I'm thrilled with the Leafs start this year. I don't know that Raycroft can keep playing as well as he has but here's hoping. Making the playoffs would be more than I expected this year.

Finally, it's voting day in Ottawa today. I'll be voting for Larry O'Brien. Though I still say the anybody but Alex Munter strategy should be in affect.

Rutgers is 9-0? Seriously? Rutgers?

Perennial college football doormat Rutgers upset Louisville last night and stayed in the hunt for the national championship.

And this may be the most hilarious post game subject I have ever seen.

George Allen Stepped In Macaca.

If George Allen hadn't referred to a volunteer of his opponent of Indian descent as Macaca there is a good chance the GOP would still be in control of the Senate. This was even dumber than what John Kerry said.

With the Dems gains you will here a lot of bluster about protectionist economic policy. That's all it will be - bluster. It will come from the far left of the party and it will not get much traction in the house, but will be lapped up by the main stream media. A lot of the Dems newly elected are similar to Heath Shuler who are trying to appeal to disenchanted "undecideds" who have been voting Republican of late. All the protectionist talk will have a negative affect on the US stock market intially though. Which means it will be a great time to start investing in the US market again when stocks start becoming undervalued.

The Next Mr. Spears

Now that Britney has decided to part ways with KFed (if love like that didn't last what hope do the rest of us have?)I think she's realized it's time for her to settle down with a good hearted stay at home type.

Of course I'm talking about...

...Whitby's own T-Bone. He is surprisingly great with children, likes to drink beer, wears only brand name clothing, knows pop culture inside out and remarkably, is still on the market. And I promise you Britney,he will never EVER cheat on you. He is just too damn lazy to bother trying to meet other women.

Movie Review: "Borat"

I have now seen this movie twice. I didn't want to review it after the first time I saw it because I wasn't sure if my affection for the character clouded my judgement of the movie. But after seeing it last night I can honestly say I absolutely love this movie.

The plot, not particularly relevant to the movie going experience here, centers around Kazakhstan reporter Borat going to the U.S. and A. to film a doucmentary about American life in order to learn lessons and improve the fate of people in his home country. While in New York he watches Baywatch, falls in love with Pamela Anderson (whose stomach he wants to make a "romantic explosion" on) and heads cross country to Hollywood to marry her.

This movie is offensive but it is equal opportunity offensive as everyobdy who sees it will be offended. There are those who think the movie is anti-semetic but I disagree. You have to remember that Sacha Baron Cohen (who plays Borat) is Jewish himself. He had to deal with bigotry growing up and has decided to make fun of the bigots not the objects of those bigots scorn. The perfect example of that in this movie is Borat's stay in a B&B outside Atlanta run by a perfectly wonderful old Jewish couple. They let strangers into their home, make them home made meals very late at night because they assume their guests are hungry, fluff their pillows for them and engage in polite conversation. They are the most harmless couple in the world. Yet Borat shows his ignorance by being completely terrified of them and running in terror from the house in the middle of the night.

The highlights of this movie are too numerous to mention in detail. Needless to say Borat's encounters with people on the subway in New York, with black youth in Atlanta, fine dining with upper class southerners, drinking with frat boys, are relentless comic fodder. See this movie. You will be offended and you will laugh the whole time you are.

Sports Shorts.

I'm glad to see NHL GM's are discussing the schedule for next year. The biggest mistake coming out of the lockout was the unbalanced schedule. This league had never had a clue how to market itself and having marquee players playing road games against the other conference teams once every three years is absurd. Take the Pittsburgh RIMjobs for example. With guys like Crosby, Malkin, and Staal they would be a guaranteed sellout for teams like Vancouver or LA every year.

The Sens blew another 3 goal lead yesterday and lost another 1 goal game doing it. This is a disturbing trend that dates back to the last few years. This team has an awful record in 1 goal games. It says all you need to know about their character and why they will crash and burn in the playoffs again this year.

With the Knicks at 1-3, the Isiah Thomas farewell tour is proceeding right on schedule.

I still say the Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC. I know the Colts are unbeaten and are a lock to get home field, but their defense won't stand up to Jamal Lewis running it up their gut now that the Ravens are running him 30 times a game again. And the Ravens D will limit the Colts to between 14-21 points.

Is This The Best We Can Do?

This income trust fiasco is very disheartening. There was no good reason for the Tories to reneg on the promise to leave income trust alone. Income trusts are a very significant part of a lot of retirees income and to start taxing them really burdens senior citizens who have earned the right to enjoy a decent retirement. And as for cutting the GST another 1% to placate the critics I say "Screw You". How the hell does another $1 off every $100 I spend help me towards retirement vs. a 1% cut on my tax rate. And don't blame Jim Flaherty for this, he's just the messenger. Though I admit he's really not great with the press. If he had more personality he'd be the Premier of Ontario right now.

Here's a very quick math lesson for those in favour of boosting the minimum wage. Let's say I own a small independent business and need to keep my prices low to remain competitive. I can afford to pay 5 employees $8/hr (which the minimum wage will jump to on Feb 1) for a total of $40/hr. If the wage rate jumps to $10/hr I can still only afford $40/hr. That means I will have to let go 1 employee to keep my wage structure constant. In other words I now only employ 4 of those 5 people and 1 is out of a job. Why is basic grade 3 math so damned hard to understand?

Stockwell Day figure it will cost about $1 Billion over the next 10 years to arm and train border guards. Given the security threats facing North Americans I say $100 million a year is very reasonable and tax dollars well spent.

I'm quite happy Toronto's Expo 2015 bid got shit canned. While I think it would go a long way to revitalizing the waterfront, the city needs to stop spending money chasing things like this. Find other ways to get money into Toronto Island and the waterfront. It's prime real estate and really shouldn;t be that difficult. Anothe reason I'm happy about it is it shows how useless David Miller is. You know you're bad when I'd happily vote for Steven LeDrew over you.

NBA Preview

I know I'm a couple of days late with this but it's not as if the Heat's huge loss opening night is going to change my mind on anything. I may skip playoff predictions entirely this next spring after going 14-1 in predictions in last years playoffs. It's kind of like doubling down and winning three straight times with a face card showing vs. dealer 10. You just smile and walk away.

Here goes with predicted order of finish:

Eastern Conference (which again this year is absolutely terrible)
1. New Jersey
I say 1st overall for no other reason than Vince Carter is in a contract year and wants to cash in next year with Orlando. And they still have Richard Jefferson and Jason Kidd, who will be backed up this year by the steal of the draft Marcus Williams. The frontcourt stinks but they will get enough scoring from the big three.

2. Cleveland
A full year with a healthy Larry Hughes and the offense moving through LeBron means big things from the Cavs. Their front court is serviceable in this conference and don't think for a second that LeBron isn't seething that Dwayne Wade beat him to the NBA Championship.

3. Miami
Yeah the Heat are a year older. Yeah Shaq only really plays when he wants to and Gary Payton and Antoine Walker might take a lot of stupid shots now that they have their rings. But the they still have the best coach in the league and Dwayne Wade, arguably the best player in the league (though I wouldn't argue he is). And they proved last year the regular season doesn't mean squat in this conference.

4. Washington
Gilbert Arenas may be the most entertaining guy in the league. He is just a flat out flake. He is also a guy who plays with a big chip on his shoulder which got bigger over the summer by his snub from Team USA. Heis going to go for about 30 a game this year. Antawn Jamieson will continue to provide secondary scoring and play enough D to make this team really good.

5. Detroit
This team might actually be better without Ben Wallace. Their other starters are still good defenders and now they are playing with 5 guys on offense instead of 4. I look for Tayshaun Prince to have a big year and make the All-Star game. I still don't see them finishing higher than 5th because I don't think Flip Saunders is a very good coach. It will be fun to watch Rasheed Wallace get rung up for 75 T's this year though.

6. Chicago
This team is not as good as a lot of people think. Their guards are going to have to score about 85 points a game for them to win. Their frontcourt of Ben Wallace, P.J. Brown, and Tyrus Thomas (who I've said before is going to be a complete bust) is virtually useless with the ball in it's hands. In a league where the trend has moved to offense I don't understand what the hell they were doing bringing all those guys in.

7. Orlando
Here is where the conference shows it's weakness. 7-15 is a crap shoot becasue everyone else is bad. I think Orlando will get enough games out of Grant Hill to make the playoffs. They work hard and Dwight Howard is an absolute beast on the boards and is getting better offensively. I also think Darko will also take advantage of the chance to show he can actually play this year.

8. Toronto
This may be a senitmental choice but I actually think the Raps can make the playoffs. The Villaneuva for TJ Ford deal was terrible (you don't trade a potential 18-9 guy for a quick point guard when quick point guards are a dime a dozen) but I'll give Colangelo credit for bringing in some guys Jorge Garbajosa who can really play. With top pick Andrei Bargnani and Nesterovic playing center (likely poorly) it gives Chris Bosh the chance to move to the 4 spot and become the best big man in the east. Yes that includes Shaq. Bosh will lead them to the playoffs.

9. Indiana
If this team can keep itself out of jail they can be a top 5 team in the conference. They have a great big man in Jermaine O'Neal, play strong defense and have a few different scoring options. The reason I think they won't be any good is because they have about 6 guys on this team who are legitimate headcases.

10. Milwaukee
Michael Redd is going to continue scoring. Andrew Bogut and Charlie Villaneuva gives them a decent frontcourt. They have decent guard play. And that's about it really.

11. Boston
Doc Rivers is an absolute lock to be the first coach fired this year. But whoever steps in isn't going to have much to work with. Paul Pierce and Wally Szczerbiak are their to score but Sebastien Telfair and Rajan Rondo are not the answer at point guard. And their defense is going to be awful. They have nobody up front who can play at all.

12. Philadelphia
How does a team with Chris Webber and Allen Iverson rank this low? Webber is a shell of his former self after multiple surgeries. He'll still be a consistent 17-8 guy but the days of him springing for games of 35-15 are done. And Allen Iverson's best days are well behind him. I think he could contribute on a better team but he can't carry them himself anymore. They should have traded him over thr summer when they could have got nearly full value for him.

13. Charlotte
This team will be lousy but at least they'll be un to watch with Adam Morrison putting up, and making, shots from all over the floor. Look for him to average 18-22 a game and be a leading rookie of the year candidate. On the defensive end of the floor though, he really can't guard a fence post.

14. Atlanta
What a complete mess this franchise has become. They have very little to work with and took Shelden Williams way to high at the #5 pick. Expect to see them tanking games at the end of the year so they can increase there chances in the Greg Oden sweepsatkes.

15. New York
The Knicks are the number 1 reason to watch the NBA this year. Watching Isiah's last season will be the funniest reality show on TV. He likes Stephon Marbury which means Steve Francis will sulk like crazy. There frontcourt is awful, Quentin Richardson might eat himself out of the lineup, and the media will be all over them. And they will be tanking games for the final three months of the season to increase the chances of getting Oden into the NY market.

Western Conference (which again this year is absolutely stacked)

1. San Antonio
Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli were playing at about 50% health during the playoffs last year. And they still took a fourth quarter lead into game 7 against Dallas before losing. That's really all you need to know about the Spurs who are healthy again and ready to rampage. They will win 65 games.

2. Phoenix
If Amare Stoudamire was 85% of what he was before his knee surgery I would say the Suns will win the title but I don't think he will be. Steve Nash will continue to be Steve Nash and Shawn Marion will continue to score from the wing but without a fully healthy Amare down low defensively they still don't have enough D to beat the Spurs.

3. Dallas
It's hard not to think that last year was their year. I don't see how they are going to get better. Dirk Nowitzki has got as good as he's going to get (that's not an insult the guy s awesome) and there isn't that much room for improvement with guys other than Josh Smith. They'll be there at the end but I don't see it happening for them.

4. LA Clippers
What's more unlikely? That the Clippers were very good last year or that owner Donald Sterling spent the money required to make sure they are very good again this year. This team is a hell of a lot of fun to watch. Elton Brand is a stud up front, Cory Magette can score in bunches on the wing, Chris Kaman is a pretty damn good center, and Sam Cassell can take and make the big shots. If Shaun Livingston emerges as a star this year they can go to the finals.

5. Denver
I'm going on a hunch with this one. I think Carmelo is tired of hearing how great DWade and LeBron are and wants to be in on the "who's the best" discussion. I thknk he is going to pop for 28 a game this year and carry this team on his back. And he'll need to because Kenyon Martin is done as a big time forward and Andre Miller couldn't shoot the ball into the ocean from the beach.

6. Houston
A team with Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady should be good. But I think what holds them back is that the two of them will never figure out how to play together. Brinign in Bonzi Wells and Shane Battier was a stroke of genius. But if they don't make huge strides this year McGrady is going to get moved at year end.

7. LA Lakers
Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the league because he is a lock down defender when he needs to be. After Lamar Odom's infant son died this past summer he dedicated himself to becoming the star he has shown flashes of throughout his career. That's bad news for the pretenders in this conference because there is really only one playoff spot up for grabs. Throw in a few good role players like Smush Parker and Luke Walton and they are going back to the playoffs.

8. Utah
I think Andrei Kirilenko is the most underrated player in the league. He does everything. And his wife gives hm one night a year to screw whoever he wants (not relevant to this preview but a cool fact). Carlos Boozer is strong upfront and their backcourt will score enough to squeeze into the final playoff spot.

9. Sacramento
Mike Bibby is still one of the three best point guards in the west which will keep the Kings competitive. Ron Artest is still one of three most likely guys in sports to land in jail half way through the season which will keep the Kings out of the playoffs.

10. New Orleans
The home crowds in the Big Easy are going to be good enough for an extra 5 wins this year. Throw in Peja Stojakovic and Tyson Chandler to go with superstar in the making Chris Paul and this guys are headed in the right direction.

11. Golden State
Some people are picking the Warriors to make the playoffs and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Baron Davis will thrive under new coach Don Nelson but they still start Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Troy Murphy. No team in this conference can start those two and make the playoffs.

12. Minnesota
Two things to watch this year: 1- Who gets traded first - Iverson or Kevin Garnett? 2- Who gets fired first - Billy King or Kevin McHale? This team is going to be bad and it's not going to be much fun watching Garnett having to go through another bad season. On the bright side they had a great draft with Randy Foye who will become a rookie of the year candidate when everyone realizes Mike James stinks.

13. Memphis
Hey Mike Fratello - How ya gonna do without Pau Gasol for three months? Not too damn good is my bet. He was the glue that held this team together and they will struggle a lot to find scoring. It's going to be a long year.

14. Seattle
It's going to be another long year for Ray Allen. At least he can conitue his assualt on Reggie Miller's alltime 3 pointer record in relative obscurity. They might not win 25 games.

15. Portland
Well at least they may not be the Jail Blazers this year. While I thiink it was moronic not to draft local boy Adam Morrison, they still did well with LeMarcus Aldridge and just stole Brandon Roy in the draft. They still have Zack Randolph up front who will average a double double and only get arrested a couple of times. They are still at least 3 years from being any good though.

Finals - Spurs over Heat

MVP - LeBron

Coach of the Year - Mike Brown

Rookie of the Year - Adam Morrison

In Praise of David Caruso.

Since we've seen each epdisode of CSI about 10 times Ms. Skeelo and I started watching CSI: Miami on A&E each night. David Caruso may be the worst actor currently working on TV but he also happens to be the coolest. Nobody else could deliver the lines he does with a straight face or with that cocky smirk. Seeing him go from the side profile hands on the hips to putting his shades on is absolute money.

The new TV shows this year have been pretty underwhelming (mind you I really haven't watched that many). The best new show to me was Smith which of course got shit canned three days after I blogged about it. I have been enjoying Standoff but I think that's more because I am a fan of Ron Livingston, not so much the show. Justice is another show that is not bad. I like the twist of showing the actual crime at the end of the episode so you don't know whose guilty of what. They need to write the characters better though, right now they are just caricatures. I plan to give Heroes a go as the insightful indamanda says it's pretty good.

I'm not the least bit ashamed to say that I will probably see the Borat movie at least four times in the theater. The guy's a genius.

I heard a Nickelback song on the radio this morning that made me realize they are by far the worst band currently making new music. Seriously, want band is worse than these half assed wannabes from B.C.? I'd like people to nominate bands they think are worse.

And with Meatloaf's new album out, I guess he now qualifies for worst individual singer putting out new music.
