I'm glad to see NHL GM's are discussing the schedule for next year. The biggest mistake coming out of the lockout was the unbalanced schedule. This league had never had a clue how to market itself and having marquee players playing road games against the other conference teams once every three years is absurd. Take the Pittsburgh RIMjobs for example. With guys like Crosby, Malkin, and Staal they would be a guaranteed sellout for teams like Vancouver or LA every year.
The Sens blew another 3 goal lead yesterday and lost another 1 goal game doing it. This is a disturbing trend that dates back to the last few years. This team has an awful record in 1 goal games. It says all you need to know about their character and why they will crash and burn in the playoffs again this year.
With the Knicks at 1-3, the Isiah Thomas farewell tour is proceeding right on schedule.
I still say the Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC. I know the Colts are unbeaten and are a lock to get home field, but their defense won't stand up to Jamal Lewis running it up their gut now that the Ravens are running him 30 times a game again. And the Ravens D will limit the Colts to between 14-21 points.
