NFL Playoff Predictions.

Last week I went 4 for 4 so the pressure is on. I want a perfect postseason.

AFC
Indianaplis Colts at Baltimore Raven. Saturday, 4:30pm

On paper this game is a complete mismatch to me. The spread is only about 4 points which baffles me. Given Peyton Manning's playoff history, and lack of guts, I don't see how the Colts can win this game. The Ravens defence is the best in the league and the fact they are already talking a lot of trash in the press is a good sign that they are ready to crush people. I also think the Ravens running game will do weel against the Colts D now that the Colts are on the road. I see the Ravens running the ball down their Colts throats, which will keep Peyton on the sidelines most of the game and limit their opportunities to score. I also think Steve McNair is trying to prove he is still a Super Bowl quarterback. I picked the Raven to win the Super Bowl before the season started and I am sticking with them.

Prediction: Baltimore 24, Colts 14.

New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers. Sunday, 4:30pm.

This should be the best game of the weekend and has the possibility of going down as an all-timer. The opening line on this game was the Chargers by 4.5 which tells you even Vegas doesn't know what the hell to make of this game. And the line hasn;t moved so gamblers don't either. I think San Diego is the better team and they are playing at home. I just can't stop thinking about the fact that Tom Brady and Bill Belichik are so good in the playoffs together and that Marty Schottenheimer's 5-12 playoff record is no fluke. Marty really isn't that good a coach. But these Chargers are stacked and LaDanian Tomlinson is going to be the difference maker in this game. The Chargers defense is also going to force the Pats to beat them with the run because Brady doesn't have the receivers he had the past few years. it's oh so tempting to take the Pats but I think the Pats were beteer last year than they are now and the Broncos team that they lost to last year isn't as good as this SD team.

Prediction: San Diego 27, New England 24.

NFC
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints. Saturday, 8:00pm

The Eagles beat a lousy Giants team last week but this will be a real test for them. I know Jeff Garcia is playing well fo rthe Eagles but I don't see how Philly can win this game. The Saints are the most balanced team in the NFC right now and Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and all their other weapons are going to light up the Eagles. Thrown in what will be an emotional crowd going completely berserk in New Orleans and this one will be a rout.

Prediction: New Orleans 34, Philadelphia 17.

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears. Sunday, 1:00pm

In fairness to the Seahawks, who looked awful last week against Dallas, they are banged up. QB Matt Hasselback and running back Shaun Alexander don't look right. If they were this might be a better game. As it stands I don't see them putting too many points on the board against the Bears defense and the Bears defense giving their Rex Grossman lead offense good enough field position to move one. I can't believe a team with Rex Grossman at quarterback is going to get to within one game of the Super Bowl but it's going to happen.

Predicition: Chicago 17, Seattle 6.

I predict that even though their QB has no guts and will likley play poorly, the Colts will still win a defensive battle. The Raven's offense just isn't that good.

Everybody please take notice of the time stamp on that comment. He made this prediction after the game was over. Way to go out on a limb.
