Say It Ain't So Trudeau.

- The news that pompous little shit Justin Trudeau wants to run for federal election in a Montreal riding is hardly surprising. His whole "my name is a burden" routine is pretty pathetic and he has never done anything to indicate that he would be at all successful in politics. I used to think the difference between this guy and Ben Mulroney was that at least Justin had the decency to be a failure in private. Now that he's in the public eye he's a bigger joke than Ben.

- It's -10 in Ottawa today so I guess we can calm down about global warming. As for those who point to the mild recent temperatures as proof of global warming I say hooey. Last year the Rideau Canal was open for skating on January 7th. That means it was -10 or colder for 10 straight days (or something like that which the canal requires to freeze). So if it was 10 degrees this Januray 7th global warming accounted for a 20 degree difference? And it will be a balmy 30 degrees next year? No. It was simply an abberation.

- The fact that Canadian actors are now on strike falls pretty close to the "if a tree falls in the forest" category.

- If Bush is going to send more troops to Iraq, which I think is the right tactical move, why say or give them a limited role? Sending in more troops is a way to get this resolved sooner and easier, limiting their involvement seems foolish.

so, not to be a stickler,
Justin trudeau has done stuff to attempt to make a name out of himself
this is from speakers spotlight.

(JUSTIN P.J. TRUDEAU

Education, Environment & Youth Advocate

The education and empowerment of youth are priorities that have dominated Justin Trudeau’s professional and personal life. Shortly after completing a degree at McGill University, Trudeau moved to Vancouver to earn a bachelor’s of education degree from the University of British Columbia. For the next four years, he devoted himself to teaching children of all ages. He is now completing a Master's degree in Environmental Geography at McGill University.

Trudeau is actively involved with Katimavik, Canada’s leading national youth volunteer-service program. He works to increase the engagement of Canada’s youth towards their country, their communities and their environment. He is also involved with the Canadian Avalanche Foundation, promoting intelligent risk-taking and safety awareness; and wilderness groups such as the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.)

but I personally think that he is credible strickly because of his father. i watched his fathers funeral and the eulogy he gave and it made me sick. he is an opportunist, but there is a time and place for everything.

Given the way his father ruined the country I would argue he makes him distinctly unqualified.

I guess that means a potential Jenna Bush presidential candidacy in '28 is a non-starter.

Jenna Bush vs. Chelsea Clinton in '28. There is a catchy slogan there that I have not come up with yet.

I love how his bio dresses up what can only be described as "drama teacher". Good point on Mulroney who has both a law degree and a job. Trudeau's only purpose for enrolling in the Master's degree was to avoid accusations of being a man of leisure since he hadn't worked for several years while pimping his father's death.

Justin Trudeau is every bit the media whore Ben is if not worse. At least Ben doesn't try to pretend to be something he's not. Why was Justin's face plastered all over the leadership convention for the Liberals? Have you seen this guy interviewed? He's a joke. "I want to help this great country" "I want to help people" "The conversatives aren't compassionate". I have yet to see that idiot say anything tangible.

David - Good point about going back to school to make it look like he's doing something.
