Time For Favre To Retire.

- Brett Favre is nearing the point where he is almost as annoying as Roger Clemens with his should I or shouldn't I retire routine. It's time to retire Brett. You really aren't that good anymore and are just hurting the Packers who would be better off with a younger QB who could grow into the role. If I were the Pack I would say to hell with him, especially after he ripped the team for not getting team cancer Randy Moss.

- It was great to see Phil Mickelson win The Players on Sunday. Hopefully this will shut the critics who think he somehow fell apart mentally after Winged Foot up. I'm not a big "Phil guy" based on the fact I think he squandered a lot of opportunities to win more with his formerly poor work ethic (more so than due to poor course management), but I have always respected his talent. The game is a hell of a lot more interesting when top guys are at their best so let's hope Phil keeps playing well.

- Star Wars has been named the most influential special effects movie in history. Was there really ever any doubt?

- How stupid do you have to be to put bullets in a vice and then hit them with a hammer?

So go Brett.

You've been the most overrated player in the NFL for 5 years now. You've led the league in interceptions more often than you've won MVP's or Superbowls which was what, like 9 years ago.

Go somewhere else where they'll overpay you, you'll throw a ton of picks, and hold some other team hostage. The good people of Wisconsin I'm sure have had enough. Let the Aaron Roders era begin in Green Bay. "Favre throws into the end zone...auh Farve is picked off.:"

Phil moeing down the field at the TPC was great to see. I've always been a huge Phil fan. I know he's not the most popular guy on tour among the players, but everyone I know that's come into contact with him says he's a better person than he is a golfer. I'd like to see him at the top of the world rankings (also cause it would drive Eldrick nuts) but I'm holding off officially coming back on the Phil bandwagon until I see how that new swing holds up on Oakmont. Here's hoping it takes him to his 4th major.

Phil had his shot at Number 1 last year at Winged Foot and blew it. One of the problems he has getting to No. 1 is that the better he gets the better Tiger will get (like Tiger winning 9 of 12 after Phil blew it).

The bigger problem for Phil is age. He is 5 or 6 years older than Tiger and by the time Tiger is not No. 1, probably no until about 2013, Phil will be too old. The next No 1 is probably some high school senior nobody has heard of yet.
