Best of Luck Brett.

Now that the Packers have Brett Favre to the Jets along with a "Thanks and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out" message it will be interesting to see how the Jets do.

They have a last place schedule and have the pitiful Dolphins and Bills twice in their own division, which is probably three wins right there (though I will enjoy watching the Pats kick the shit out of Favre twice this year, despite their shaky secondary). They also have the Raiders, Rams, Chiefs, Cardinals and 49ers on their schedule. It's not inconceivable for them to go 8-8 but that still doesn't get them to within sniffing distance of the playoffs in the brutally tough AFC. If the Jets think that Favre is going to somehow get them to 11-5 they are in a dream world.

I agree, the Jets will continue to suck. Their receivers are no better than the ones Favre had 2 years ago when he nearly set the NFL record for INTs. He'll be out to prove something and all he'll prove is that he should have stayed retired.

I'm no fan of the Pack, but I really hope Rogers has a good year. The BS the guy has dealt with since he was drafted is more than most people should, what with commentators questioning everthing from his ability to his manhood. I look for him to go something like this.

22TDs 14INTs 3050 Yrds Pack go 10-6and earn a wildcard birth.

You're right. The Pack will be fine. They have a good young defense and good skill players on offense. That's why they were good last year, not Favre. All Rodgers has to do is not screw things up and make the occassional great play. Aside from following Favre it's a perfect situation for a first time starter.

And their division still stinks. The lions are the Lions and the Bears and Vikings don't have QB's. The Pack should go 4-2 or 5-1 in the division so they only have to go 5-5 or 6-4 out of division to win it.
