The Mitchell Report.

- George Mitchell releases his report into steroids in baseball this afternoon. It should be interesting to a certain degree but can you honestly say there is name you would be surprised to hear attached to steroids? I think the only name I would be shocked at is Ichiro because he's a skinny bugger and I think Japanese icons would view steroids as an affront to the game. Other than him no names will surprise me.

- Call me crazy but I think the Miami Dolphins are going to win a game this year. They will get killed by the Pats in week 16 but I think they will beat either the tired looking Ravens this week or the sorry no-count Bengals in the season finale.

- Bobby Petrino is a complete ass. If you want to bail on the Falcons after one year that's one thing. But quitting with three games left in the season is a disgrace. It's not like the Arkansas job wouldn't have been there a month from now if both sides agreed it was his.

- I suspect Miggy Tejada will have a big comeback year with the Astros next year. He'll have some protection in the lineup so he will see good pitches to hit (something he didn't get any of last year), NL pitching is worse than AL, and Minute Maid park is a banbox.

- Rumour has it David Arquette is upset his wife Courtney Cox is spending so much time with Jennifer Aniston. Arquette is punching about 6 weight classes over his weight with Cox to start with. Add in hanging out with Aniston all the time and I really don't see where he should be complaining at all. If he had any brains whatsoever he would be trying for a threesome every single minute of every single day.

- It looks like it's shaping up to be an old fashioned snowy Ottawa winter this year and I am actually looking forward to it. I would gladly take minus 12, snow on the ground and sunny over the minus 2 with grey skies and slush everywhere we have had the last few years. Ms. Skeelo and I love skating on the canal and it was only open about 10 days last year. And watching the kids across the street this morning playing in the snow fort they built was pretty damn cool.

Clemens is guaranteed to be on this list. If he's not, this whole thing was a complete waste of time, which it probably was anyway.

Yes you are crazy, more like delusional, if you think the Dolphins will win a game. They were blown out by the Jets. The Jets! Who are the second worst team in the league. Baltimore has a little pride left and the Bengals, despite having their worst year since 2002 will hang 45 on them through 3 quarters.

Petrino is a joke and he's way worse than Nick Saben. Saben actually had a winning season an at least finished the year before bailing. And who could blame him, look at the Dolphins now. 0-16 is as sure as 16-0.

Diamond Joe you better pray to God the Bengals beat the Dolphins or I will never let you hear the end of it. Given how Chad Johnson shines in games that are absolutely meaningless you are probably safe though.

As for -20 you always get a long stretch here where you get those temps. Best thing to do is hope that it only lasts 7-10 days.

Would you take the opposite? The Valley of Sun took in 32 days this summer where the high was at least 43C or 110F including 12 in a row.

I actually would take the cold snaps over the ridiculous heat. My argument has always been that I can dress for cold weather, you can't dress for 120 degree heat. And you can't do anything outside in that heat either.

My ideal is being here (here being a generic northern city) from May to December then warmth like 'Zona or SoCal from Jan-April
