World's Cleanest Cities.

A new study on the World's cleanest cities has been released, and Calgary tops the list. The article also states that "The cleanest cities are largely located in countries noted for their democracy and their industrialization," and that "It may not be accidental that these countries are among the highest in purchasing power parity" according to World Bank figures. And this is a surprise?

10 of the top 25 cleanest cities are in North America (5 in the US, 5 in Canada, including Calgary, a town built on oil I might add), 11 are in Europe, 3 are in Japan.

While Al Gore and his groupies run around ripping every industrialized country a new one, it is pretty clear that underdeveloped countries with unstable political structures should be the ones whose feet are held to the proverbial environmental fire.
