Canadian Politics Can't Get Any Lower.

The thought of another Federal election is absolutely ridiculous but if the alternative is Finance Minister Jack Layton, and my fingers ache just typing that, then it may have to be the option.

Of course if Harper wasn't stupid enough to bring up the possibility of cutting the $30 million taxpayer subsidy to political parties this could have been avoided. I don't disagree with ending the subsidy in principle I just think his timing was awful. He never mentioned it once or even hinted at it until last Thursday. Now the government may be brought down over something as trivial as this at a time of economic crisis when leadership is required. Pathetic.

Unfuckin' believable.

This clown gets trounced worse than any Liberal leader in history and then backdoors his way to the PMO. And partners with Socialists to do it!

WTF?

Left wingers are taking over everywhere!

The biggest joke is that Dion is the guy responsible for the Clarity Act and has always been a staunch Federalist. Now he plans to get in bed with the Bloc? What a fuckin' joke.

I don't actually think it's going to happen though. I don't see Ignatieff and his supporters in the party showing up for the vote. Ignatieff is smart enough to know this is way to big a risk to take.
