Blue Jays Embarrassment

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons should be fired immediately. Last night's fiasco proves this guy can't handle the pressure of managing a major league team. When he challenged Shea Hillenbrand to a fight last month it could be tossed off as a fluke occurrence because Hillenbrand is generally considered a complete idiot by everyone who has played with him. Ted Lilly is widely respected and liked by his teammates, both current and former. Two fights in less than a month with your players is unacceptable. What's even more telling about last night's incident is that Roy Halladay was one of the closest guys to the tunnel where the fight took place and didn't even leave his seat. I'd love to know what Gibbons whispered in his ear later on. I now think Gibbons may be a big reason why Vernon Wells has no intention of signing long term with the Jays. Halladay and Wells are the two franchise players. They are both model players off the field. If Gibbons can't get along with them there is clearing something wrong. He needs to go today.
